The hotel or condominium pools and spas are public, not private, and are usually some distance from your room. They are often not the temperature you would like, and have limited hours of operation which, usually means you can't use the pool and spa after 9 or 10 pm which is precisely when you would want to use them. No more coming back to your room after a long day at the parks and finding the spa closed for the night, just at the time when you would want to relax.
